Evangelism

In 2018 Barna reported 51% of Churchgoers in the United States don’t know of the Great Commission. What’s worse is that only 17% of churchgoers who had heard the term knew what it meant.

Essentially, the Great Commission is a term used to describe the command Jesus gave His followers in verses like Matthew 28:18-20 and Mark 16:15.

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20

And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.

Mark 16:15

At Hope to Share, evangelism is more than a ministry program—it is a way of life. Whether we are serving in churches, mentoring students, visiting villages, building friendships in our community, or simply going about our daily routines, we seek opportunities to share the hope we have found in Jesus Christ.

We believe every follower of Christ has a role to play in fulfilling the Great Commission. Some are called to go, some are called to send, and all are called to pray. Together, we can help ensure that more people have the opportunity to hear the Gospel, respond to Christ, and become lifelong disciples.
